“Fungi for Nutrition, Agriculture, Health, and the Environment”
Dr. Febnteh Eric Bemuh serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Forestry and Wood Sciences at the Higher Institute of Agriculture, Wood, Water Resources and Environment (ISABEE), The University of Bertoua, Cameroon.
He holds a PhD in Forest Resources Management (Silviculture) from the University of Bamenda, Cameroon, a Master’s degree in Forest Product Management and Utilization (Forest Resources Economics and Policy), and a Bachelor’s degree in Botany from Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola, Nigeria.
He also teaches in the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management, Faculty of Agriculture, Taraba State University, Jalingo, Nigeria, where he has been serving since 2021. He has successfully supervised five (5) undergraduate research projects.
Dr. Bemuh has been actively involved in research on cross-cutting themes such as forest economics, forestry and forest resources, non-timber forest products, and natural resource management for biodiversity conservation.
He has co-authored over 12 publications, including 10 peer-reviewed journal articles and 2 book chapters published by reputable publishers. He has also participated in over six (6) conferences where he made presentations and attended eight (8) different workshops.
He is a member of the UBa-FS Fungal Biodiversity, Ecology, Ethnomycology and Phytopathology (FBeeP) Research Group, themed “Fungi for Nutrition, Agriculture, Health, and Environment.” He is also an associate member of the Society for the Protection of Underground Networks (SPUN).
